Our Mission

Read Corinthians 5:10-15

Are you on a mission? We all have a purpose on this earth whether we know it or not. We must come to the realization that we must live out that purpose intentionally.

A friend of mine once asked, “When did you accept Jesus Christ?” My reply, “I was introduced to Christ at an early age but I did not develop an intimate relationship with Christ until 2014.”  A part of me wishes that I would have known my purpose at an early age so that I didn’t have to go through so many trials and tribulations. Then another part of me appreciates the path that was chosen for me because I now stand in awe of how God brought me out and changed my life forever.
Our mission on earth is to glorify God with our lives. How do we do this? We fear God and we must obey his commandments. As I stand in awe of the works that God has done in my life, I desire more of him each day. There are some days were I just don’t feel like worshiping but I’m reminded that God has done too much for me not to worship him. No matter the trials and tribulations that come my way I look to the future when I will be in God’s presence all day. My faith is grounded in Jesus and the promises to come.

Our purpose on earth comes from having a right relationship with Jesus Christ. Our lives can’t have purpose if we don’t know God our creator. Our relationship with God is restored when we accept Jesus Christ into our lives. We believe and confess with our mouths that Jesus Christ is our Savior.
As I’ve come to understand my purpose and I enjoy the relationship that I have with God. I want others around me that don’t know God to experience the same thing. My mission is to persuade and bring others to know Christ. One day soon I will be a full time evangelist and that will be my purpose each day I arise is to go into the community and save the lost.  Today, I encourage you to step out on faith and tell someone about the amazing God that you serve. Someone’s soul is yearning to be freed from bondage. God is wanting to use you as his vessel to reconcile that relationship to him. I long for the moment to see were we as believers stand in unity and thousands are added to the church daily.

For God’s glory I will do anything!! When I stand before the judgement seat I want to hear, “WELL DONE, GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT!”

To My Future Husband

Read Genesis 2:21-25

**This blog was written from the heart and how  I interpret these scriptures to apply to my life or any woman that desires to be married. It's preparation season for many of us!

Dear Future Husband:
I was part of you before we met in the physical realm. God formed me you just for you. We are both spiritual beings living this natural experience. I will be your helper because God created me for you. I was made in the image of God just as you have been made in the image of God. God made no mistakes when he formed us both in our mother’s wombs.

I was created to support, love, and uplift, encourage, strengthen and compliment you in all areas of your life. Although I am a woman I still have the power and influence to help you on this journey. We are imperfect people but we are perfect for each other. Were you are weak I will be your strength and were I am weak you will be my strength.  We will be powerful because God will be the head of our union.
As I reflect on the rib that came from man’s side and created woman, I can’t help but tell you that I will be by your side every step of the way. I will walk with you because I know that God is leading you. The unity in our marriage will come from us both being able to support each other physically, emotionally, mentally and most importantly spiritually.

I want a mind blowing experience from our first encounter. Your transparency will wipe away fears that you don’t know exist. Our connection will be confirmation from that prayers that I have prayed. We will share our dreams, fears and aspirations with each other. We will follow the way that God has instructed us how to love each other.
I vow today I will love you even when there are unlovable moments, I will respect you because I know that you are connected to the vine, I will assist you whenever you need me whether it be ministry or personal growth, I will submit to you because I know that you are connected to the source, my spirit will remain gentle and quiet. I will continue to support and encourage you in all that you do. You will always be uplifted in my prayers!

Scripture for the Week: Hospitality

Hebrews 13:2 Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by doing some have unwittingly entertained angels. (NKJV)

Surprisingly, many of us are suffering from anthropophobia! What does that mean? It means that we fear people. Many of us are only comfortable with speaking to close family, friends, coworkers and possibly church members.  Other than that, we never say hello to a stranger, we dare not make eye contact, and we don’t offer assistance when we see someone in need, etc. We walk with our heads held high to the sky and feel that in some way we have arrived. We think way too highly of ourselves.

Don’t be shocked! But we aren’t doing the will of our Father in Heaven.  The Lord has commanded for us to be hospitable to strangers. His word tells us in Hebrews 13:2 that we could be entertaining angels. If we look at everyone that we come in contact with this way, we will take self out of the equation and focus on what is pleasing in God’s sight.

We were created to serve God and serve his people. When we are hospitable we honor God and bring glory to his name. If you see someone that is in need whether they be hungry, thirsty, need a word of encouragement, help with a difficult task, etc. serve them knowing that you are honoring God and could be entertaining an angel. A simple “HELLO! How are you?” can go along way with someone. A smile to a total stranger can uplift their spirit and it shows the light that Jesus Christ has placed in each of his believers. Today, I ask that we promote hospitality so that our Father in heaven may be glorified and his message be spread throughout this world.

That’s My Dream

Hi everybody!!! This blog will allow you into my personal space that has been very dear to my heart because it has been orchestrated by God every step of the way. I pray my testimony encourages, inspires and uplifts single men and women that are patiently waiting on God’s best for their lives. God has been so good to me that I have unspeakable joy! Welcome to my dream!

Chasing after God
Alright Now! When we are single we often times wonder how long will we have to wait for the perfect mate. Well my story was I dated before and things never worked out right because that wasn’t the plan that God had for me. So God spoke to me and told me to “Trust him, Trust him” When God spoke to me I knew exactly what he meant, he wanted me to trust him with all areas of my life. So I stepped out on faith and surrendered to God’s will and way. Did I go looking for love? Yes, I did!

I went looking for the love of Jesus Christ. I fell in love with Jesus and discovered that he was already in love with me. I was on fire for the Lord and I was eager to seek his will for my life. I wasn’t perfect during this season but I remained faithful to the Lord. God started to pull back layers and layers of wounds that had never been healed. Self-improvement was in full effect because God was at work in my life. He was pruning, purging and preparing me for my future.

Single Me, Enjoying Life

God was the head of my life and I was seeking him daily for counsel because I know he cared for me. Chasing after God in that season was amazing! I was growing deeper in God’s word and becoming spiritually mature. I became a better woman of God, mother, daughter, sister, and a friend because God was working in my life. My life as a single woman was a ministry to many others around me.

Webinar Confirmation
Just a little background info! Recently I attended a webinar that talked about the “5 Stages of a Relationship Done God’s Way” and this was confirmation that God was still in full control of my destiny. Before I start the next part of my dream, I wanted to let you know that when I mention the name CJ that is my God-fearing man that God has blessed with me. Okay!!! Amen!

Alright, so CJ and I listened to this webinar together. Here are the 5 Stages of A relationship Done God’s Way:

1.       Friendship Stage

Yes!!! CJ and I met at Christian Chapel Temple of Faith (church). He was a ministry leader of Game Changers which is a ministry for young adults between the ages of 18 through 26. I was the ministry leader of the Singles Ministry. The Singles Ministry had Wednesday night bible study at a local Starbucks in the Dallas area, so a group of us would get together and study God’s word. Our focus was growing in the Lord not dating. CJ and I were friends in the body of Christ.

Just Friends

2.       Interest Stage

Interesting! This stage was where I know that God took the scales off my eyes. Although, I was interested in CJ, I still was seeking God for direction. Ladies, Ladies, Ladies! He didn’t know that I liked him and God didn’t allow me to display my emotions. The interest stage was just observing from a distance.

Wednesday Night Bible Study

3.       Pursuing Stage

Should I pursue or not pursue? Of course I should pursue him! I pursued CJ in prayer. I didn’t approach him but I approached the throne of grace asking God to confirm that this was the man that he had for me and that he was my husband. CJ pursued me in the physical. It’s not our place as women to pursue men in the physical realm, period.

One night after Wednesday night bible study we planned that Friday to go dancing as a group. When I arrived at the location it ended up only being CJ and I. I thought this was perfect and I knew that God had his hand on this moment. It was a great night filled with conversation, laughter and dancing.

This is the text that he sent me the next day:

Pursue Text

Epic Night
We talked on the phone and it was established that we had mutual interest in each other. I was so excited after we hung up and started to thank God for everything that was happening in that very moment.  Then of course I called to share with others about the goodness of the Lord and what he had done for me.

4.       Courting Stage

Whew!! This stage has been awesome! Why? Because for the first time in my life I am courting with the  purpose of one day being married to this man. I knew before we had hung out one on one that he was my husband. God had spoken to me at a live gospel recording “It’s him, It’s him” This stage for us has been truly a blessing. We are keeping Christ first in our lives! We know that we serve a jealous God. We always give honor and glory to God for bringing us together! All the glory belongs to God!

9/25/15 Birthday Dinner
5.       Engaged Stage

Well! This story is unavailable at the moment. Stay tuned!!!

Encouragement Corner

Let God write your love story! Chase after God and seek him first in all that you do. He will direct your path and give you the desires of your heart according to his will and way for your life. This has been a mind blowing experience for me. Everything that I dreamed about and more as come to pass. Amen! Praise God!

Glory in Your Suffering

Romans 5:3-5 (NKJV)

And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Today’s blog will be slightly different than usual. I have found that many times we read scriptures but we don’t truly understand the meaning of words. I’m going to take some key words from the scriptures, explain the meaning and then give a message of hope.
The 1st word that stands out to me is tribulations. What does tribulation mean? According to the dictionary it means a cause of great trouble or suffering.

The 2nd word that stands out to me is perseverance. What does perseverance mean? According to the dictionary it means the quality that allows someone to continue trying to do something even though it is difficult.

The 3rd word that stands out to me is character. What does character mean? According to the dictionary it means the way someone thinks, feels, and behaves: someone’s personality.

The 4th word that stands out to me is hope. What does hope mean? According to the dictionary it means to want something to happen or be true and think that it could happen or be true.

God is telling us that there is glory in our troubles or suffering that we experience. Our troubles or suffering causes us to continue surrendering God’s will and way for our lives. Although it’s difficult at times God needs us to go through the process so that he can develop our individual personalities to be more Christ-like. We have hope to know that trouble doesn’t last always because God has poured his love into our hearts and he has given us the Holy Spirit to comfort, lead, guide and protect us in difficult times. When we put our trust in the Lord we will never be disappointed because God loves us so much. He sent his only begotten son, who was sinless to save us by dying on the cross for our sins against God. God loves us so much that even though he knew we would fail him daily, he still wanted to be reconciled to his people. He offered us the most precious gift that we could ever receive and that was Jesus Christ. He also gave us the gift of eternal life. We know that what we face in front of us is only temporary. Nobody told us that the road would be easy but God has never left or forsaken us. So keep trusting in him, keep praying and stay encouraged my sisters and brothers in Christ. Know there is glory in your suffering!

~Be Blessed
