Fullness of Joy

Lord, today we declare and decree that we as your people are filled with the fullness of your JOY! In Jesus name Amen!
We as believers must keep our eyes on God so that we don’t fall by the wayside. Keeping our eyes on the Lord gives us sight to see. I think about the blind beggar (Luke 18:35-42) as I write this blog. Jesus was approaching Jericho and Jesus was passing by and the man asked the crowd what was happening. They replied that Jesus was passing by so He called out “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me! People were trying to get him to be quiet but he began to shout even more. Jesus heard him because he stopped and asked that he be brought to him. Jesus asked him “What do you want me to do for you?” The man replied, “Lord, I want to see” Jesus then said to him, “Receive your sight; faith has healed you.” The man received immediate sight and began praising God. People saw this and began to praise God.

Yes, this man was physically blind but on that day he received physical sight but also spiritual sight. He was restored and filled with unspeakable joy. First, notice that he was placed in a position to be humbled before the Lord, he called out to the Lord and the Lord heard his cry. Jesus came and spoke over his life and he was healed instantly. In that healing moment he began to worship the Lord. See the world didn’t give him that joy so the world couldn’t take it away.
His heart was glad and he began to offer a sacrifice of praise to the Lord. He was able to rest in the presence of the Lord knowing that God is sovereign, omnipresent, and powerful, a healer, a deliverer, comforter, a counselor, and the giver of peace, the giver of joy, merciful, graceful and loving.

God saved us from the realm of the dead by sending his son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins. The amazing thing is that he didn’t just stay dead but was raised from the dead with all power in his hands and sits at the right hand of God the Father. Not just to stop there, he has defeated the enemy. He has saved us from an eternal death and has offered us salvation.
God has made known of the path of life through his words in the bible but also through that quiet still voice that speaks to us. Thank you Lord for the Holy Spirit that you pour into believers that believe in the Messiah and that accept him as their Lord and Savior.

Being in his presence brings joy to us a believers! I often think of this worship song – Set a fire down in my soul that I can’t contain, that I can’t control. I want more of you God, I want more of you God!! Just to think that when God sets your soul on fire and fills you up with his presence you can’t control it because your light is shining so bright and you want to share it with everybody.
Just to think those eternal pleasures are beyond what we can see in the natural but it’s a promise from God that this world shall pass away because it’s only temporary. Jesus has went into heaven to go to prepare a place for his people. Praise the LORD! Hallelujah! Amen!

~Be Blessed!
