Where are we finding our comfort? Often times we find ourselves searching for comfort in having sex, drinking, partying, lying, stealing, lusting, gambling, gossiping,  cheating, etc. All of these things are the things of this world and will never bring us peace in our hearts. We must understand that our hearts will always be troubled when we turn our backs on God and focus on the things of this world.
Whatever trouble we experience in our lives, know that it’s only temporary. Our relationship with God gives us hope that everything will work out for our good. God is the only one that can restore the brokenness inside each of us. Brokenness causes our hearts to be troubled with fear and worry.

God wants us to have inner peace because we are in his presence. In his presence we have the Holy Spirit that lives within us to give us peace which is a fruit of the Holy Spirit.

Today, we must surrender our lives to Jesus Christ and allow him to restore us. We must stop playing church but be the church to this lost world. We can’t wait to come to Jesus when we think we have fixed ourselves. Jesus tells us in his word, “Come to me, all who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) Accept Jesus Christ today so that you may lay down your burdens and be restored to have peace in your heart.

Lord, we come broken before you, asking that you restore us today. We come leaving our burdens with you and allowing you to fill us with the Holy Spirit. We accept Jesus Christ into our lives as our Lord and Savior. We ask for forgiveness of our many sins. Have mercy on us Lord. We love you and thank you for hearing our prayers. In Jesus name, Amen!
