Clean Up Day 5 of 6

The Levites had been disobedient to God’s covenant that he had established. The Levites were under God’s wrath for being disobedient. Hezekiah their leader had to go before God to make a covenant so that the Lord could turn his fierce anger from the people.
There are several covenants mentioned in the bible that God had established between certain individuals and all mankind. I want to focus on the new covenant that God has established for his people. We all sin and fall short of the glory of God. We aren’t perfect people but we do serve a perfect God. Yes, we all need to be cleaned up daily by the Lord because of our sinful nature.

God sent his son Jesus Christ to save us all from our sins. He came to earth in human form to spread the gospel, heal the sick and raise the dead. He was persecuted although he had done no wrong. He was beaten, whipped and even spit on for us. He was nailed to a cross and we continued to mock him.  Jesus was killed by us the people.   He died so that we may live and have eternal life. What Jesus Christ did for us, was love like no other.  He saved us from eternal death. That’s love!
We are under the new covenant because of Jesus paying the price for our sins. We now have the opportunity for salvation and a restored relationship with God. Today, we need to make a covenant with the Lord by accepting Jesus Christ into our lives.

Lord, we ask that you clean us up so that we can make a right covenant with you. We invite Jesus Christ into our lives as our Lord and Savior today. We surrender all to you. We ask forgiveness of our many sins. Have mercy on us Lord! In Jesus name, we pray, Amen!
