Anxious for Nothing

Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present you request to God. (NIV)

The key words that stand out to me in this verse are prayer, petition, and thanksgiving. Prayer is communication with God. Petition is asking God for something through prayer. Thanksgiving should be in our hearts and flowing from our lips as we go to God in prayer.
A cure for anxiety has been discovered. It’s PRAYER!!! It’s just that simple… Don’t make it any harder than it has to be. *Reread Philippians 4:6*

I’m convinced that we as people aren’t going to God in prayer about every situation in our lives. We are turning to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, friends, and family before we go to God first. We have to do better at making God our first option and not our second option.

God understands everything that each of us go through in our lives. There is no problem that we face that God can’t handle. Go to God in private and make your request known to him. Even in the midst of our problems that arise in our lives, we should always have thanksgiving in our hearts. We shouldn’t forget all the things that God has done for us.

The most important thing that God done for us, is sent his son Jesus Christ to be born, spread the gospel, die on the cross for all of our sins, rise up and go to heaven with all power in his hands.
Prayer is the way to develop a personal relationship with God. He invites all of us to have this relationship with him through this scripture. We must stop being anxious for things to turn around in our lives but turn to God in prayer that is able to do anything that we request according to his will for our lives.
