Praise and Pray Day 4

Read Matthew 10:16

Help!!! We will be persecuted because we are followers of Jesus Christ. Expect it and learn how to deal with it. Just think for a moment: Jesus was persecuted and he was the Son of God, so surely we will be persecuted for following him.
Don’t be afraid because the only one whom we should fear is God. There is spiritual value in persecution. Just think about this for a moment: We should be rejoicing because our reward is much greater than anything this world can offer. By grace we are offered salvation through Jesus Christ with the gift to our new home in heaven. There will be no more suffering or even persecution of God’s children in heaven.

As we know that trials come to test our faith and help us grow spiritually. When among others that don’t believe and they are trying to degrade our character don’t react with hatred but with love. Always remain calm as Jesus did when replying to Satan in the wilderness. He remained calmed and responded with scriptures from Deuteronomy.
Keep pressing on this amazing journey in the Lord.  Know that no matter what we may endure our reward is greater when we reach heaven. Oh what a time it will be!

Lord we come thanking you for new mercies every morning. We thank you for loving us. Thank you for letting us know through your word the things we will face as believers but also letting us know that we have a greater reward to come. We thank you for growing us spiritually. Lord we love you and can’t thank you enough. In Jesus name, Amen!

Praise and Pray Day 3

Read Matthew 28:18-20

Are you spreading the gospel as commanded by Jesus? Many times we find ourselves crossing paths with many people whether it be friends, family, co-workers, strangers, etc. We talk about all types of things such as sports, TV shows, work, award shows and even the news. How often are we spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ? We are being disobedient to the word of God if we aren’t doing this simple commandment.
The Holy Spirit dwells within us so that we may boldly and unashamed spread the gospel to the lost. The only way the gospel can reach all nations is that we are spreading the word to everyone we come in contact with.

For those of us that can’t travel to other countries, social media connects us with the rest of the world. We should be using our social media avenues to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ instead of nonsense that doesn’t help people grow spiritually.

Stop hiding behind that we are afraid, don’t know what to say to people, or even afraid of what people might think about us. This is a commandment and something we should take serious because Jesus said it.

My Testimony: I use to be afraid to talk about Jesus to others because I didn’t know the bible or even how to pray. I started to attend church regularly and started going to bible study on Wednesdays. I prayed for God to take me out of my comfort zone and enable me to speak boldly and unashamed about his word. I didn’t know that all along that the Holy Spirit dwelled in me and I was already equipped with the power to speak about my Father in Heaven to those around me. I started reading, studying the scriptures in the bible and meditating on the word.  I found myself interested in what the word had to say to me about the wonders of God. I began to post on social media about God, then I started speaking to family about him and then strangers. It’s a growing process but it gives me joy that I’m going about my Fathers business as he has commanded me to do.

Fulfilling the Great Commission

1.       Attend Church regularly to learn from the seasoned disciples

2.       Pray daily with ceasing

3.       Study the Bible

4.       Mediate on the word

5.       Spread the word, starting with people you feel comfortable with in your life

6.       Watch God work through you to reach many people

Lord, we come thanking you for this day that wasn’t promised to any of us. Thank you Lord for loving us although we are disobedient to your word. We thank you for have mercy on us. We desire to be obedient and say yes to your will and way. We love you and can’t live without you. Your presence surrounds us and we can’t escape you. Lord we love you and we can’t thank you enough because you are so good to us. In Jesus name, Amen!

Praise and Pray Day 2

Read Matthew 11:28-30

Doesn’t life seem difficult at times? I know that I’m not by myself. I feel sometimes that things are going well and other times I feel that things are chaotic. I start to feel overwhelmed and empty. Then, I read this scripture and Jesus himself says come to me and I will give you rest. Oh, how his words fill me up and let me know that everything is already better. His word says all can come to him that are weary.

We have to stop turning to the world when we are weary and burdened but go to Jesus who will comfort us in our time of need. Jesus words teaches and inspires his children. The rest that Jesus gives will restore your spirit. We should enjoy Jesus lifting us up in his strength, when we are weak in spirit.

Lord, we come thanking you for this beautiful day that wasn’t promised to any of us. We thank you for your word that inspires us. Thank you Jesus for being there for us when we are weak in spirit. Thank you for being gentle and humble in your heart towards us. Thank you for loving us, when we are disobedient to your word. Thank you for your grace and mercy. Thank you Jesus for giving your children rest. We love you and can’t thank you enough for all you do. In Jesus name, Amen!

Praise and Pray Day 1

Read Matthew 5:1-11

Jesus is simply teaching us as believers how to have the right attitude. We should always give praises to Jesus for teaching us how to have the right attitude as believers.

1.       Poor in spirit – Is simply having a character of humility stripped of pride

2.       Mourning – Is simply sensitivity towards the sins we commit against God

3.       Gentle – Is simply a demonstration of self-control

4.       Hunger – Is simply a desire to fulfill God’s will for your life

5.       Merciful – Is simply have a compassion for others

6.       Pure in heart – Is simply your lifestyle lining up with your words and actions

7.       Peacemakers – Is simply being able to give and bring restoration to broken relationships

8.       Persecuted – Is simply having a character of commitment and patience to be able to endure suffering but remain committed.
The other part to the beatitudes gives us the blessings or even promises for our right now situations and even in the future. The kingdom of heaven is theirs is mentioned 2x in verse 3 and 10, comforted, inherit the earth, filled, shown mercy, see God, and called sons of God. Jesus is simply saying that we must be bold and unashamed of the gospel because no matter what the world try’s to throw at us, we will be taken care of as believers. Reading these blessings should help us to continue on this Christian journey in the Lord. Jesus promises us a reward that is greater than anything that this world has to offer which is heaven.

Lord, we come thanking you for  this day. Thanking you for sending your son Jesus to teach us how to have the right attitude as believers. Thank you for your amazing love towards us. You are worthy of all the praise, honor and the glory. We love you Lord. In Jesus name, Amen!

2/20 Prayer

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his creation, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time so that we should walk in them.

The two words that stand out to me are creation, created. We are God's creation and we were created to worship him only. Our good works were planned long before we were created. That was our purpose to do good works in the world so that Christ light would shine through us.  God saved us through Jesus Christ so our good works should be all to glorify God and not our selves.

Dear heavenly Father, thank you for this amazing day, created by you. Thank you for waking us up this  morning, clothed in our right mind. Lord, you deserve all glory and honor because you are worthy to be praised. You work even while we are sleeping. You give us peace and joy through storms we encounter. We thank you Lord just for keeping us and giving us another chance. Lord we love you more than anything. In Jesus name , Amen!

2/19 Prayer

Ephesians 2:8-9 For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God's gift-not from works, so that no one can boast.

Paul is simply saying that grace is a gift from God. No matter the works we do here on earth it does not guarantee us salvation. In our human minds we would want to boast about all the things we have done and this is why God has saved us. It is because of faith in Jesus Christ, God has given us the gift of grace.  We don't deserve God's grace because of our sinful nature.  This shows us just how much God love's us!  God should always get the glory for what he does in and through our lives.

Lord, we come thanking you for this day that wasn't promised to us. Thank you Lord for your amazing grace! You grace saved us lost sinners. We thank you for just who you are. We thank you for what you've done, doing and about do. Thank you for loving us! Give us your strength to make it through this day. Let your light shine through each of us. Cleanse us of anything that is not of you in our spirits. Stir up the spiritual gifts that lies in each of  us. Let you r will be done in our lives today. In Jesus name, we pray Amen!

Vision for Pastor Inspiration 1 on 1

Read Jeremiah 3:15

Who does the church belong too? Not sure what you are thinking, but the answer is Christ. The church is the body of Christ. He died for the body and the body lives for him.  Christ died for our sins. We must believe that Jesus died, was buried, and rose on third day. Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God.
I discussed what a godly leader is in a previous post. **Leadership Inspiration 1 on 1

A Godly leader will have a vision for the local church but also for the universal church. The pastor will lead the congregation by the Holy Spirit. God is in control of all things even the local churches that reside in our communities. God is in charge of appointing and anointing leaders into positons in a church that stands open in Jesus Christ name.
We are to support the pastor’s vision(s) for the local church. God appointed and anointed the pastor to be the leader of the church, so our role is to serve the pastor. Always pray and keep your pastor uplifted with encouraging words.

Bragging Moment: My pastor at CCTOF-Dallas is truly a woman of God. She is filled with the Holy Spirit. She teaches and she preaches the word of God. She has truly blessed me as believer by growing me deeper in the word. My pastor is beautiful, funny, smart, sophisticated but most of all she is a believer in Jesus Christ. She teaches an uncompromised gospel to the people of God.
I encourage each of you today to pray for your pastor but also pray for all pastors that are teaching God’s word.

2/17 Prayer

Ephesians 2:5 made us alive with the Messiah even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace! (HCSB)

When we were in the world and followed the ways of the world we were dead spiritually. Our bodies were loving the sin but our souls were hating it. god saw that we were lost, so he sent Jesus Christ to save us. God's grace saved out lives! We can't go back to the way we were my brothers and sisters. This word today should encourage us to keep going and don't give up!

Thank you Lord, for who you are. Your love is amazing! Your grace saved us from the enemy. You sent your son Jesus Christ to save us. God you are awesome to your children! We love you more than anything! Thank you for having mercy on us as your children. In Jesus name, Amen!

Teaching Inspiration 1 on 1

Read 2 Timothy 2:15

Are you ashamed of Jesus Christ? If you aren’t spreading the gospel to others then you are ashamed of the gospel. We should be walking in confidence and proclaiming the truth to all that will hear the word. We should be spreading the good news boldly and unashamed of what others may think about us or even on how they will react. Your lifestyle needs to reflect that you are a believer by the way you live so that others will see and hear how God is working through you to witness to them.

God has been too good to us not to share his truth to this dark world. How will they know if we don’t share? Too many of us are going to church on Sunday and letting the word we receive stay within us. We need to be sharing what we hear from God and our personal testimonies with others. You would be surprised at how your testimony will inspire and motivate someone else. People are hurting and wanting things to change in their lives. God is the only one that can make our situation’s brighter. Share his truth, so that God may be glorified. Our goal as disciples is to add to the kingdom and save souls. The enemy wants us to be ashamed of God. The devil is already defeated, so don’t allow him to win by taking away your confidence in Jesus Christ. Start today by sending a text, posting a status or simply calling someone to share about the goodness of Our Lord.

~Share and Speak with Confidence

2/15 Prayer

Ephesians 1:19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power to us who believe, according to the working of His vast strength. (HCSB)

God is great to his children that believe in him. God's greatness can't be measured. Many times we measure God's greatness by the material things we have in our lives. God is much bigger than that, he is so powerful that he blesses us in so many ways spiritually. He protects us from dangers unseen, he gives us peace when storms arise in our lives and he is gracious to us even when were not obedient. The way God is in love with us and we should be in love with him.

Father in heaven, we come thanking you for this day. Your love for us is so amazing and immeasurable. You take care of us daily. Your presence is all around us and we can't escape you. Lord, we come with a grateful heart just thanking you, for who you are. You are worthy to be praised and honored. Thank you for loving us even when we don't love ourselves. Thank you for inspiring us through your word and with your words. In Jesus name, Amen!

Blessing Inspiration 1 on 1

Read 1 Timothy 5:17, 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13, Numbers 6:24-26

How do you count your blessings? Is it by your material possession? Is it by your spiritual growth? Just reading Numbers I counted 6 blessings that God has upon his people. He blesses, protects, shines, gracious, favor, and peace all comes from God. God’s goodness to his children is awesome and unexplainable. We aren’t worthy of these blessing but God’s love for us is beyond our human understanding. Oh, how he loves his children!!! He pay’s attention to us and he cares for us. That’s enough to shout unto God. He is the same God right now, same God back then. Notice that none of the blessings had to do with money, a car, a house, jewelry, a job, etc. The blessings God give are all spiritual blessings that give water to our thirsty souls. These blessing will sustain us when all hell is breaking loose in our lives. These blessing will sustain us when everything that you have has been stripped from you. These blessing will sustain you when you can’t see your way through. It’s in these very blessings that God will use us in a mighty special way. It’s in these blessing that you won’t lose your mind when the enemy is attacking your health, your family, your job, your home, your spouse, your church, you pastor.
The scriptures today were dealing with leadership over God’s people and how would should treat them. The Lord led me to write the first portion of my blog, so that we may understand his greatness of who he is all by himself. My soul is on fire for God today. In spite of what I’m going through right now. I know that God has a blessing with not just my name but all his children’s name on it.

Our Godly leaders are taken care by God through the blessing he pours into their lives so that they make speak to his people. We are instructed to recognize our spiritual leaders with love because of their teaching and preaching’s to us. Spiritual leaders should be respected and honored for teaching God’s word to the people of God. We are blessed through their teaching and preaching. Everything they do should be for God’s glory and everything we do should be for God’s glory. For his glory we should do anything that he ask.

Biblical Faithfulness Inspiration 1 on 1

Read Titus 1:9

This scripture encourages me as a believer to continue to press on and attend church as often as possible.  Not just to say I go but to hear the word of God and apply it in my life. We need the teaching and preaching from our Godly spiritual leaders. They equip us with the wisdom and knowledge from God to spread the message to others.
**A true teacher will believe and teach that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God.
You must know what God’s word says so that you don’t believe anything that people say. There are false prophets walking this earth. Speak God’s truth to them in love and feel free to share your testimony.

Allow the Holy Spirit to speak through you so that you may speak in love to encourage them towards God’s truth. I advise you not to associate yourself with false teachers. We have to be passionate about God’s word. We must share the faithful message boldly and unashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Discernment Inspiration 1 on 1

Read Isaiah 30:21, Proverbs 3:13-18

Who are you listening too? We as Christian’s have to have open communication with God. When we communicate with our friends someone talks and someone listens and vice versa. Same thing with God, we talk but we also have to be willing to listen to what God has to say to us. His presence is all around us, we can’t hide from God.
Why is that we don’t go to God for understanding and wisdom? Are we afraid that when we mess up he will not hear us or understand what we are going through? God knows everything about us. Listen to him, when he speaks to you because he is only directing your path because his path is best for us. God is full of compassion and will have mercy on us if we repent of our sins.

To know God is to study his word, pray and live according to his word. When you consume yourself with the things of God you can discern what is good and what is evil. When I surrendered to God and started reading his word, praying and living the lifestyle. I noticed the things that I use to like were no longer of interest. I stopped listening to secular music and started to listen to Christian music. You will find me singing and dancing for Christ. My thoughts are clearer now and I see God and every situation.

My Recent Experience:  I watched the Grammy’s the other night because I thought some of the gospel artist where going to be on their like Erica Campbell and Lecrae. The music was terrible. I thought one song was a church song, it was called “Take me to church” I was excited to hear people singing for God. STOP! The Lord guided me to look up the lyrics because something didn’t sound right. When I looked up the lyrics they were talking about a woman. I became so upset and sadden, that people where singing about the church but mixing it with worldly things such as dating. This is why you must read the word and study it, pray daily, and live the lifestyle of a God chaser. God’s word will give you wisdom and understanding to the daily things we encounter. His word will help to guide us on the straight and narrow path. We as Christians need to desire God’s wisdom because his word say will be happy.

My Recipe for Discernment
1.       Read and study the Bible
2.       Pray to the Lord, giving thanks and making request for others and myself
3.       Silence my words so that I can hear from God
4.       Listen to God’s voice
5.       Obedience to his directions that he speaks

2/9 Prayer

Ephesians 1:15-16 This is why, since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, I never stop giving thanks for you as I remember you in my prayers. (HCSB)

Paul's prayer for believers blessed my soul on tonight. He prayed to the Lord giving thanks for the faith we have in Jesus Christ and the love we have for each other. Paul is an excellent example to the way we should be towards others. We need to be going to our Father in prayer, praying for one another. Thank God for those that believe and are no longer lost in this dark world. We could be doing so many other things but we have faith and obedience to follow Jesus. We haven't made a popular decision among our family and friends. We have chosen to live for God and not man, be bold and unashamed of the Gospel. We are winning because what the world fails to realize that everything that the world has to offer is only temporary. What we have is salvation through Jesus Christ. Don't allow the the devil to bring doubt into your mind or make you think that sharing God's word is a hard task. It's not hard at all, God will give you confidence and will encourage you, that's the purpose of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will inspire, empower, and comfort you. Keep each other lifted up in prayer because we need it like never before. Jesus is on his way back.

Lord, thank you for this day. We come lifting every believer up in prayer asking Lord that you protect us from the evil one. WE ask for forgives our many sins. Have mercy on your people God. WE give thanks for the believers that are boldly and are unashamed in spreading your message to the lost and the ones that have strayed away. Bless them in a mighty special way. Renew and transform theirs minds in Christ Jesus. Remove anything from us that is not of Jesus character. WE thank you for allowing us to have salvation through Jesus. WE love you and you are worthy t be praised. In Jesus name, Amen!

Encouragement Inspiration 1 on 1

Read 1 Thessalonians 5:11. Isaiah 41:10, 1 Timothy 5:17

Are you encouraging others around you or tearing them down? My grandmother use to always say, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”
God encouragers us through his word. If you pick up your bible and read the word you can see that God gives us what we need. We don’t have to go searching for it. We don’t have to fear anything that may come up against us because God is on our side. He promises to strengthen, help and hold us. Praise the Lord! God cares and loves us! His love is so amazing! His love is greater than our parents, children, spouses, friends, etc. We should love God with all our heart because he is awesome to us. God has given us so many chances to get it right and has accepted us back each time we fall. That’s enough for me to know that I will never leave his presence to go back to where I use to be. I will hold onto God’s unchanging hand. I advise you to do the same.

His word tells us to encourage others. Encouraging others gives them hope that they can make it. We all go through things in life and need someone to build us up when we are down. I’m a part of an awesome women’s prayer group. When prayer is needed, we are there to help each other. Find some people that will love on you and encourage you until things are better for you.

If you attend your local church keep you pastor encouraged. They carry a load on their shoulders. Pray for them and give encouraging words to them. They pour out so much to God’s people that they need to be poured back into. They preach and teach every Sunday, bible study on Wednesdays, and even have other fellowship engagements outside of the church. Keep our Godly pastors lifted up in prayer always. Don’t just pray for your church but all churches that stand open in Jesus name.

~Encourage somebody today!

2/8 Prayer

Ephesians 1:11 We have also received an inheritance in Him, predestined according to the purpose of the One who works out everything in agreement with the decision of His will, (HCSB)

Through Jesus Christ we inherited the Holy Spirit as he promised. God predestined everything that has happened and the things to come, according to his will and purpose. Our character needs to be more Christ like and our lifestyles need to line up with the word of God. We must put away our old lifestyle and put on our new lifestyle in Christ. We are God's children. The world offers us temporary happiness that turns into misery but God offers joy, peace, love abundantly that last for eternity. When God gives something abundantly it is for us to share with others around us. Follow Jesus starting right now. If you are already following Jesus, keep pressing on until the victory is won!

Father, In the name of  Jesus, we come thanking you for this beautiful day. Thanking you for breath in our bodies. Thanking you for allowing us to make it to church today. Thank you Lord for the Holy Spirit. Thank you God just for being who you are. Thank you for your Son Jesus. Thank you for loving us! We love you! Amen!

2/7 Prayer

Ephesians 1:6 to the praise of His glorious grace that He favored us with in the Beloved. (HCSB)

Paul's letter to the Ephesians helps us to better understand God's marvelous plan for our lives in the Body of Christ. God favors his children. Grace is another spiritual blessing from Our Father in Heaven. God expressed his agape love to us through Jesus Christ (Beloved).

God, we thank you for your amazing grace towards your children! We thank you for your agape love! Your love is so amazing! In Jesus name, Amen!

Wise Counsel Inspiration 1 on 1

Read Proverbs 24:5-6, 19:20-21

Who are you seeking guidance from when troubles arise in your life? We usually want to contact the person that comforts us the most in the physical. But what happens when we call or text that person and they aren’t available. We become sad or feel like all hope is gone. Even when we have good news we want to run and call mom or dad to tell them. What happens when they aren’t available? We find ourselves filled with this joy but no one to share it with….
We should be seeking God in the bad and the good times. God’s presence strengthens, guides us and he gives us wisdom. I used to go to God about all my problems through prayer. This is about the only time I would go to him when things were all wrong in my life. As I matured in Christ, I started to praise God for the good times through prayer and song. If I got a raise on my job, started school, paid my rent, learned something new about his word, etc. It felt awesome celebrating with my Father in Heaven.

Although we make our plans, seek God’s plan for your life. His plan will always go forth in our favor. From my experience, when I didn’t seek God’s will, my plans failed. Then I found myself at the altar weeping and asking God to help me. God will give you the gift of knowledge and wisdom if you seek him first each and every day. We need God every day, not just on Sunday.

~Be wise and go to God

2/6 Prayer

Ephesians 1:13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, (NIV)

Another spiritual blessing is having a relationship with Christ Jesus. When we heard the gospel and believed in Jesus Christ we were promised the Holy Spirit. Through Jesus Christ we have salvation and eternal life.

God we thank you for your Son Jesus Christ. We thank you for giving us ears to hear the gospel and not to turn a deaf ear to the truth. We thank you for the Holy Spirit that dwells in us. Thank you for your many promises to your people. In Jesus name, Amen!

Godward Focus Inspiration 1 on 1

Read Proverbs 4:25-27

How do you grow spiritually to have a Godward focus? I’m sure many of you including myself have made our plans and then our plan failed. We will call our plan “PLAN A”. After we saw the plan fail, we decided to seek God’s plan for our life. We will call God’s plan “PLAN B”. See the problem… Why is God our second option and not our first option? We have to put our trust in God’s plan first!

To keep a Godward focus you must have open communication with God through prayer and praise. Be willing to listen to what he has to tell you. When he speaks, move quickly. Once God has spoken to you, you don’t need opinions from other people. No matter the challenge you face, trust God. Your struggles are there to prepare and strengthen you. Know that the Lord will provide for you. Your greatest position to be in, is on your knees praying and thanking God. Go to God in prayer with a grateful heart. Pray for others that stand in need of prayer. Your breakthrough and blessing is in your obedience, prayer life and worship to God.

~Go get your Blessing!

Leadership Inspiration 1 on 1

Read Hebrews 13:17, 1 Corinthians 1:10, 1 Peter 5:1-4

What does spiritual leadership look like? This is a great topic because there are so many motivational and inspirational speakers, and relationship gurus today that we as people have become confused on what true spiritual leadership looks like…..
In the church body, I’m not talking just about the physical church building but among us as believers, there shouldn’t be any division. We should be united in mind and thought because we are worshiping the same God. Why would there be a need for division amongst us?

The Lord has anointed and called certain men and women to bring forth his word to his people. Why then do we not listen to them? We should be obedient and show faithfulness towards God 1st, the local church 2nd, godly leaders 3rd. A spiritual leader should be godly, unified in purpose, good examples to others, and serving God joyfully. Leaders should be able to discipline God’s people by teaching them God’s word. Leaders should not desire greed or power. It’s not about becoming rich from doing God’s work and they shouldn’t abuse authority.
Know the difference between spiritual leaders and motivational gurus. These motivational gurus will feed your mind with stuff that tickles your ears but doesn’t grow you spiritually. Why do we find ourselves following these individuals? We see the worldly success and associate that with blessings from God.  Spiritual leaders should always spread the good news by glorifying Jesus Christ, making disciples out of God’s people, and to build up the people by growing them spiritually in Christ Jesus.

2/3 Prayer

Ephesians 1:5 he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will- (NIV)

We are God's children through Jesus Christ. How awesome is that privilege. Don't take this for granted. Offer a sacrifice of praise to God daily for this amazing blessing.

God we thank you for loving us. Thank you for adopting us as your children through Jesus. We love you! In Jesus name amen!

Conflicts Inspiration 1 on 1

Read Matthew 18:15-17, Proverbs 15:1, 1 Corinthians 13

We have all faced conflict among family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, children, spouses, etc. Don’t you dislike being at odds with people you like or even love? I can’t stand it because it makes me sad and sometimes angry. What does God’s word say about conflict among each other?
His word says that if we are in a disagreement with someone we should not responded harshly but with a kind word. How many people do you know that can argue by themselves? To see someone argue by themselves would make them seem insane. Right?!

When you respond kindly it helps to bring peace to the situation. Also, both people can search to understand each other’s points of view and bring unity to the relationship. Regardless if you agree or disagree, let it be done in love. It’s ok to agree to disagree with someone.

There is a proper way to confront someone that you have conflict with. You should go to that person in private in a loving manner. Notice it should be done in private and not getting on the hell-o-phone and gossiping about it to everybody. This just causes more confusion and discord.  I would suggest going to God and praying before confronting someone and asking him for guidance and wisdom. When things are confronted in a loving manner that person and yourself can be restored to a Christ like character.

If the person refuses to listen then one or two others can go to help resolve the matter. Hopefully, this helps! But if it doesn’t take it before the church to resolve the matter. All I can say is that we must forgive others that wrong against us because God forgives us for our sins against him. Exam self to see if you are right within, have an attitude of humility, and love others.

We should have a spirit of love that wants to help and bless others. God honors Christ like character. We must be genuine in loving God and his people. God’s love us dwells in us (Holy Spirit) and he shows us daily that he loves us.

2/2 Prayer

Ephesians 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. (NIV)

This month my church is doing a 28 Days of Focus Prayer. I love these calendars they give out because it inspires me to write my post. I am a day short and might miss some days but will try my best to post daily.

We should be praising God for the spiritual blessings because we are truly blessed abundantly. This verse lets me know that God wants the best for his children. Although, we aren't obedient to his word at all times he still extends grace and peace to us. We have spiritual blessings by accepting Jesus Christ. How great is our God?!

Lord, thank you for the spiritual blessings you have given your children. Thank you for blessing us even though we aren't obedient to your word. We love you! In Jesus name, Amen!

Heart for the Lost Inspiration 1 on 1

Read Mark 16:15, Matthew 28:19

Do you have a heart for the lost? Jesus has commissioned us to go into the world and spread the good news to all his people. I’m on fire in my heart for the Lord, so I will continually spread the message about his amazing love. This is what the Lord wants from us to BOLDY and UNASHAMED spread his word to this dark world. Notice he commissions us to spread his message to the world, no just America where I reside but all nations and cultures.
Our message should be for people to repent of their sinful nature and ask for forgiveness of their sins. They will receive the Holy Spirit which is a gift from God. This will challenge them to live a unique lifestyle in this dark world. The reward will be when Jesus returns for his church (his people). Jesus is coming back soon! Oh what a day that will be!!!

I have talked to a few people recently that stated that their not the religious type. Some don’t believe in God. The statement has been made I don’t go to church but God knows my heart. These statements made me think about the way we are spreading God’s word. It’s not just about converting people to our religion (Christianity) it’s about training and mentoring them once they accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. If they don’t learn how to grow in their faith, then they will turn back to the ways of this world. We want people to be spiritually healthy in Christ. We can’t focus on if the church membership is full. Our focus should be growing people spiritually so that they are lifelong followers of Christ.

God’s purpose for us is to reach the spiritually lost men, women and even children with his message of hope. Christ is with his followers that are spreading his message; with his presence and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is alive and active in our lives daily. Whatever your status may be in life, know that God loves you and he cares about you. He knows what you are going through and understands the pain you might be enduring right now.  His presence will give you joy in all situations. Don’t Give Up! Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and see your life be restored with peace, joy and love!

Jesus is Tested in the Wilderness

Read Luke 4:1-13

The key things that stood out to me after reading this passage is that Jesus knew the word of God. It was planted on his heart, so that when situations arose he was able to stand firm on his fathers word. If Jesus knew the word, then we too must know what God word says. My pastor shared with us last year during bible study that we needed to learn a new bible verse every week. I have to admit I haven't done this. I started today and I will learn a bible verse each week. This weeks bible verse is Luke 4:4 Jesus answered, "It is written that man shall not live on bread alone." (NIV)

While Jesus was in the wilderness he fasted 40 days. Notice in verse 2 that he wasn't hungry until the fast ended. The Lord was his daily bread. We all experience wilderness moments whether it be spiritual or physical. In those moments we must stand on God's word. As we can see in the scripture that the devil knew scripture as well. The devil is sneaky. Notice that each time the devil attempted to temp Jesus he responded with scripture. Verse 4 Jesus was referring to Deuteronomy 8:3, Verse 8 refers to Deuteronomy 6:13 and verse 12 refers to Deuteronomy 6:16. Jesus was tempted but he didn't SIN.  The devil then departed until the opportune time. The devil didn't accomplish anything.

If Jesus knew the word, then we too must know what God word says. We can only overcome the devil with God's word and prayer. We should flee from the devils traps. What the devil has to offer is temporary satisfaction but what God has to offer is everlasting life.

If you are in the wilderness right now, Don't Give Up!!! Jesus knows what you are going through. Your breakthrough is in your praise. Trust God and he will see you through.

How do we resist falling into temptation?

1. Read and study God's word
2. Pray Daily to your Father in Heaven
3. Remember what Jesus Christ did for us on that cross. He died for our sins. He rose again to go and prepare a place for us and he will come back and take us with him. John 4:13 (NIV)
