Parent’s Heart Inspiration 1 on 1

Read Acts 20:28-31

I must admit, I had to pray to Our Father in heaven on this blog post. I must always put away self to let God be glorified and his word go forth with nothing but the truth. Please keep me in your prayers.

We must have a heart for those that God has placed in our care and an appropriate sense of responsibility. In this day in time leaders are arising that are wolves in sheep clothing. They are self-centered, prideful, greedy, and want the power of popularity. They are trying to build their own kingdom instead of God’s kingdom. They are taking advantage of the people of God. They are twisting God’s word for their own interests. We can’t ignore what God’s word says, we must be obedient no matter what the world is doing. We can’t mix God’s truth with worldly truths. We can’t tolerate immoral lifestyles that are contrary to God’s word, period. We must be sincerely devoted to the absolute truth of God’s word, no matter what. If there is someone that is not spreading the original message of Jesus they need to be confronted and disciplined. People need to be spiritually healthy and not sick because of false teaching. True spiritual leaders will always point you towards Christ and his word, period.

Love for Others Inspiration 1 on 1

Read John 13:34, Philippians 2:3-4, James 2:14-17

Love God, Love Others, Serve the World with the Love of Christ
I need each of you to survive! I believe that we need each other to survive while we are on this earth. We can’t do this by ourselves. We need encouragement from others daily. My inspiration today is to simply give love to others around you!

All Lives Matter in the body of Christ. We have to be willing to support each other. Especially the ones that are striving for a Godly lifestyle. Remember, that God is always our top priority and we should love him more than anything or anybody. To love others means to put aside your interest and focus on others. If others that aren’t believers see how we as Christians are united this will attract them to wanting to believe in Christ Jesus.

A key quality of Jesus character is humility. When you are humble you are aware that you’re not perfect and that all you help comes from the Lord. You don’t think highly of yourself because you understand that we are all sinners an all have fallen short of the glory of God. We understand that what we have been delivered from is all because of God. He should get all the credit. Anyone that has helped you along the way should be recognized as well. No boasting about yourself allowed. You should only boast about God’s greatness, period. The world wants us to be prideful but God does his best work when we are humble.

Scenario: A lady walks up to you and says I’m hungry. What do you do? Some may respond that they will keep her in their prayers. Some may know they have the money and totally ignore the lady. Some may offer to buy her food. My question to you, “What would you do?”

If you have the money to buy the food, buy it. Faith without works is dead! Although we confess that Jesus is our Savior, you must be an active believer. You must be compassionate towards others. Let your faith in Jesus produce good works.

The Great Commission: Discipleship

Read Matthew 28:16-20

https://www.biblegateway.com/

Are you sharing your story? "You don't know my story or the things that I've been through." How will people know if we don't share?! Do you remember when you were in that pit and no one could help you out? You lost your job, couldn't pay rent, make that car payment, spouse left you, children running wild, depression, no money for food, etc. You felt like giving up on life. You didn't understand why this was happening to you. You couldn't even talk, all you could do was cry yourself to sleep countless nights. You started to call on the name of The Lord to help you out of your situation that you could have very well created or just simply life happened and it was beyond your control. Jesus came and he healed you, paid that bill, saved your marriage, brought your children back to the house of prayer, etc. You were healed, delivered, set free, renewed and transformed in that very moment. You were smiling again and had joy in your heart.

Now time has passed and you have forgotten about that experience. Not only have you forgotten but you aren't sharing with others. Why? Jesus wants us to spread his word to all nations, within your community, your job, grocery store, wherever you may be. You can share on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. The Holy Spirit dwells within us so that we may BOLDY share the message of Christ. We must be disciples for Christ and be UNASHAMED of Our God. He loves us to much to be shy about his love.

My Boldly Speaking Guide

  1. Pray Daily
  2. Read the Bible Daily
  3. Attend Bible Study
  4. Start sharing with family and then you'll find yourself comfortably  sharing with strangers.

ASK: Ask, Seek, Knock

Read Matthew 6:7-8

https://www.biblegateway.com/

Question: How do you A.S.K God for something? Answer: Prayer

Prayer is simply talking to God, Our Father in heaven. Wherever you may be in your spiritual journey, talk to God how you would to a close friend. I've seen friends talk to God using slang words. That's ok. God knows their heart. Your prayer life will strengthen your spiritual growth. I started out praying selfish prayers. I learned that it wasn't about me but what God had planned for my life. I turned my prayers to 1st acknowledging God, praying for others, and myself last. We should always go to God in  prayer saying, "Lord, let your will be done in my life." My prayer life shows I submit to God. I'm totally dependent on him to meet all my needs. We must seek God's face-
his presence continually. Our priority should be to seek God's plan for our lives.

Ask-What's your request?

Seek-What is God's will for your life?

Knock-What action do you need to take for God's will to be done in your life?

~Pray everyday

Priorities/Time Inspiration 1 on 1

Read Matthew 6:33, Ephesians 5:15-17, Psalm 90:12

What is your lifespan on earth? Typically we should live to about 70 to 80 years old. This is our physical lifespan but through salvation through Jesus Christ we are promised eternity if we believe. Each day we should seek the will of God to find out what he wants to accomplish in our lives while we are here on earth. How do you seek God’s will? You pray, ask God for wisdom and understanding. When we die to the physical, we will stand before God and be judged on how we lived our earthly lives. This should inspire all to live right, flee from sin, and love God with your whole heart.

We should always seek God’s way and not our own desires. How will people know about our God, if we don’t share the message? Allow the Holy Spirit to speak through you, to speak to those that are lost in the sinful world. This is how they will come to know Jesus Christ. We honor the Lord when we are BOLD about spreading his message and building his kingdom.

Take every opportunity you get to share your testimony with someone. You don’t have to quote scriptures. Although it’s good to know scripture to reference too. Share your personal testimony with someone. You will be surprised at how many are going through challenging times. People need to know that there is hope in Christ Jesus. You haven’t been delivered if you can’t share your story with others. When you share your testimony, God should and will get all the GLORY!

~Share your story

God's Unconditional Love: God Disciplines His Children

Read Hebrews 12:4-13

https://www.biblegateway.com/

We all struggle daily with our sinful nature. We aren't perfect! We see things in this world as attractive to the human eye. When we partake in the things of this world we find that the satisfaction is only temporary and not permanent. We have to appreciate when God disciplines us because that means we are his children. God disciplines us because he knows what's best for us. That's how much he loves us that he wants us to be righteous and have peace. Yes, God loves us! I love the way that God loves me! There is no love like his, there is no one like him. He is always there and his love never fails me. He loves me even when I fail him daily. His grace is sufficient to keep me when I'm weak. He is my strength when I am weak spiritually and physically.

My Prayer

Lord, thank you for your grace and mercy! Thank you for your love! Thank you for your discipline. I need you each and everyday. I cant make it without you. Your love keeps me and strengths me when I'm weak. You are worthy to be praised just because of who you are. Hallelujah! In Jesus name, Amen!

If I could sing like this I would but I cant so I will let this song minster to you!

Finances Inspiration 1 on 1

Read Proverbs 3:9-10, 1 Timothy 6:10-1, Hebrews 13:5

As we know that God owns everything. The reason that you have a source of income is because of God. We are required to give God 10% of our 1st portion of our income. I give 2x a month 10% off my net pay. This year I will tithe 10% of my income tax return. When you tithe you are expressing gratitude for all that God has done in your life. I’m grateful for God blessing me with possessions but also spiritually. The Lord promises to bless us in Malachi 3:10. When we tithe it helps to benefit God’s purpose and work here on earth.
All that we have is because God provides it for us. Give to the people that stand in need. Not just family but others that you don’t even know. Be a cheerful giver! Most importantly, give not expecting anything in return. My advice, is to take care of your household 1st and if you have overflow that doesn’t cause you to be in a bind give to the needy.

Don’t have a love for money or even material possessions. These things will pass away. Your spiritual salvation is more important than money. Mark 8:36 speaks of this very thing. Be grateful for what God has given you!

In giving to God you learn to trust him to make a way for you in each and everyday. Tithing teaches discipline as well. You gave to learn how to budget on 90% of your income. This will limit or eliminate that excess spending. Trust me I know... God will do just what he says he will do in his word. I have experienced nothing but overflow in my household from tithing. I give to my local church that I attend because that's the purpose of tithing is for kingdom building. All I can say is try it and watch God change things for your favor and for his glory!

Children Inspiration 1 on 1

Read Proverb 20:7, Genesis 18:19, Proverb 22:6

https://www.biblegateway.com/

Children are a blessing from God! It can be difficult raising children in today’s society. There’s no manual to tell you how to deal with your child’s personality. You are going to make mistakes especially with the 1st one. My daughter was my test baby! When my daughter started to mature in age I needed some advice on how to raise a teen. I asked people around me that had teen daughters or had raised a teen but no one seemed to give realistic or even sound advice. I remember sitting and crying asking God to help me. Light bulb went off. That was my answer… God is our father, he made us and he knows all about us. I started asking God to help me be a better parent and raise his daughter. Oh, it worked! #wonthedoit We still have our moments but with God directing our path it’s a little bit smoother than before.
My focus is how to raise our children the right way. How do we teach them God’s way and not the worlds way? Teaching your child about God starts at home. Start while your children are toddlers. You would be surprised on how much information a toddler retains. I started with my children at a young age teaching them about God and how to love and follow him.

Prayer is something that I encourage in my home with my children. I have watched over time how their prayer life has changed. They pray grateful prayers and they pray for others. It makes my heart smile as a parent. Children are blessed when their parents have taught them about God at a young age. My grandmother did the same with me. I did reject God’s teaching when I reached the legal age to move out and I started doing worldly things. How be the ever, the Lord’s word was planted on my heart, so I couldn’t go too far. Praise the Lord!

We as parents are held accountable by God to teach our children God’s word. Another thing that I do with my children to teach about God’s word. We have bible study as much as possible in the home. Now, we do attend our local church and attend bible study regularly. But we also have incorporated bible study in the home based on their age level. It’s awesome spending time together studying God’s word.

I try my best to keep my children from worldly thinking. Sometimes they understand and sometimes they don’t. That’s ok. Because I know that when they depart from home, the things I have taught should come to remembrance. I would suggest a few things that I use with my children that range from he ages of 4 to 13.

1.       Pray together as a family

2.       Bible study at home

3.       Eat together at the dinner table

4.       Share your testimony with your children

5.       Attend a local bible based church

6.       Watch Christian movies together

7.       Listen to Christian music- we listen to gospel rap, “Lecrae” is our favorite artist

8.       Surround them with other children that are believers

Wife’s Inspiration 1 on 1

Read Ephesians 5:22-33

Yes again today we are focusing on our role in marriage as a wife or desiring to be a wife. Wives have a unique position in a marriage. The bible says, in Proverbs 31:30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is felting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. This scripture is referencing to a Godly wife. The spirit that dwells within you should be Christ like. Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. These are the fruits of the spirit that should dwell in a Godly woman or wife.
As a wife you should support and encourage your husband. Lift him up and give him praise so that he is confident that you support him and love him.  A godly wife must submit to her husband and allow him to lead. Being submissive doesn’t make you less of a person. A woman that can submit to God shows that she has strength, dignity and devotion which means you should have the same things for your husband. You will not be the perfect mate because no one is perfect. Continue to grow in Christ Jesus so that you can grow godly in your marriage.  Remember as a wife you have a unique position! Read Proverbs 31 in your spare time on how to be a godly woman.

 ~Your are blessed

Marriage Inspiration 1 on 1

Read Ephesians 5:22-33, 1 Peter 3:7

Many of us shy away from the thought of marriage because of what the world has showed us represents a marriage. Today, I’m going to share with you what the Lord says about marriage and not the world. Remember the world is ruled by Satan. Don’t listen to the enemy but listen to what God has to say about marriage.
If you desire to be married or if you are married as a woman you are to submit to your husband as you submit to God. Submit just simply means to respect your husband. How do you respect your husband?

1.       Love him

2.       Respect him

3.       Assist him

4.       Submit to him

5.       Develop a gentle and quiet spirit

6.       Be a good mother

7.       Take care of the home
Your husband doesn’t replace the Lord. Your relationship to your husband just reflects your obedience that you have for Christ by obeying what his word says about marriage. We need more family units in our society today. There are too many broken homes with no foundation or structure. The leader in the family is the husband. How does a husband lead a wife and family?

1.       Love

2.       Gentleness

3.       Meet the spiritual and domestic needs

4.       Protect

5.       Honor

6.       Understanding

7.       Appreciation

8.       Thoughtfulness

9.       Faithfulness
Submission comes from both husband and wife. The husband is called to love his wife as Christ loves the church. Now, that is a challenge because Christ love is perfect. Husband’s ya’ll have some work to do.  Just kidding! Husbands you must follow Christ’s example in loving your wife and family. If you desire or you are married protect you marriage by doing what God’s word says. Establish marriage and then protect it.

Important Note: In 1 Peter 3:7 the word “weaker” refers to women. Don’t take this out of context. “Weaker” refers to the woman’s physical strength compared to a man. As a spouse you should never physically, emotionally or spiritually abuse your mate, period. Please don’t damage your relationship with God and hinder your prayers being heard by being disobedient to his word. Husbands, you are the leader so God holds you accountable for peace in the home.  Marriage is a beautiful thing when God is the head of the union!

~Read God’s word daily, the word addresses all things that we deal with daily!

Protection Inspiration 1 on 1

Read Job 1:10, Psalm 34:7, Psalm 91

The enemy tried to kill you but your still here! That’s enough to lift your hands up and praise the Lord Almighty! God protects his people that earnestly seek him. This doesn’t mean that we will not experience hardships, it just means that the enemy can only do what God allows or what we allow into our lives. The scripture says in 1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God us faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. Your protection will come through prayer an a devoted relationship to God.

The Lord will protect you and your family from the enemy. Don’t take this protection for granted. As I stated in previous post, be careful what you allow into your life and mind.  The Lord protects us from physical and spiritual harm. A lot of times we think that God only cares about the spiritual side of our being but he cares about our physical being as well. If you fear the Lord, he will intervene on your behalf.

We will have great peace by trusting in God to protect us from the enemy. God is greater than the enemy, he is powerful, and he is the sovereign Lord and has dominion over everything even you. Choose to have a relationship with him knowing that if you put all your trust in him and not man meaning your family, friends, co-workers, spouse, government, or even your children he will protect you. Everything that you experience is preparing you for something greater to come!

God commissions his angels to watch over his faithful people. Trust God, I can’t emphasize this enough. Be grateful for who God is and what he does. Have you ever thought that God doesn’t just take care of you, but he takes care of all his people from nation to nation?! How great is our God?! Today I encourage you to commit to God’s purpose for your life and know that he is working things out for our good!

~Be a blessing to someone today!

Rest and Refreshment Inspiration 1 on 1

Read Exodus 33:14, Matthew 11:28-30, Mark 6:31

Don’t we all want to experience God’s presence? I know that I do! His word says that in his presence you will find rest. That’s enough for me to seek his face every day. The world hands us daily struggles that cause us to be weary but if we look to God we will find rest and refreshment. Notice that God spoke these words in Exodus which is the Old Testament. Now we have Jesus Christ giving us the same words in the New Testament. In Matthew he says that he will give rest to the weary. Jesus understands what we go through physically and spiritually in this world. Jesus Christ forgives us of our sins when we seek him and commit to his direction for our lives. Our sinful nature causes us to fall short of the glory of God but we can find rest in Jesus.

The Holy Spirit will dwell within you to give you peace and the presence of the Lord to deal with the daily struggles in life. I personally know that God gives rest and strength to those who earnestly seek him. When my relationship matured in Christ, things that use to bother me, don’t have the same effect anymore. Don’t get me wrong I still get overwhelmed with daily struggles but then I remember that my help comes from the Lord. I read my word and pray that the Lord fight this battle for me. Your rest and refreshment will come when you put all your problems at the altar and leave them with Jesus to handle. I’m not talking about the altar at church, I’m referring to an altar that is in your heart. Spend time with God so that you know him better. I recommend you read God’s word (BIBLE), this always and will be my suggestion. There are many great books to read but the bible is the way you will understand who God is and what he  can do for you in your life. Rest and Refreshment are just a prayer away!

Temptation Inspiration 1 on 1

Read Proverbs 4:23, Psalm 119:9, Matthew 16:41

Temptation deals with the matters of the heart. Temptation isn’t a sin. I will explain this in detail later. We must guard our heart because our heart is the source of desire and decision.  We can’t allow things to be planted on our hearts that aren’t pleasing to God. If it doesn’t help you grow spiritually, you don’t need it. I talked about this in another post about being careful what you watch, read, listen to and talk about. We must always keep God as a priority in our lives. If we find ourselves relaxing on God. Pray for renewed and transformed mind in Christ. I talked about this in another post as well. We should be seeking God’s will, his desires and purpose for our lives. God provides strength and stability during our journey on earth.
We live in the world, we aren’t of the world, because we are citizens of the kingdom! Below I have listed a few things that will help you with your daily walk as a Christian to stay connected with God and resist temptation.

1.       Stand firm to being loyal to God

2.       Pray without ceasing

3.       Memorize God’s word (scriptures)

4.       Seek God’s guidance

5.       Stand BOLD for God’s truth

6.       Rejoice in what God says to us!

7.       Trust God’s way opposed to the world's way

8.       Read and study the word of God
As stated before, temptation isn’t a sin. It becomes a sin when we put the temptation into action. Stay away from situations that you know are a weakness for you as an individual. You must know yourself and understand what causes you to be lead astray. Its’ different for each of us. The word of God is our weapon against temptation. I will leave you with this scripture: “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41

Peace and Joy Inspiration 1 on 1

Read Romans 15:13, Philippians 4:6

May the Peace of God be with you on this day! Sometimes we find ourselves wondering about the situations that lie in front of us. We become overwhelmed, sad, depressed and even mad. We can’t see our way out of the storm. Sometimes it’s due to unforeseen circumstances and sometimes we create the mess. No need to worry because God is a prayer away. Give your request to him and he will give you peace, joy and hope. When we trust God with our request we know that he can and will take care of his children. Just know that all things are working together for your good. Don’t worry, be JOYFUL! Don’t worry, be THANKFUL!

Thought Life Inspiration 1 on 1

Read 2 Corinthians 10:5, Romans 12:2

Spiritual Warfare:
Most spiritual warfare takes place in our minds. Don’t expose yourself to things of this world that don’t line up with Christ character and purpose for your life. When you expose yourself to these type of things you are inviting the enemy into your mind and this brings temptation which can lead to you sinning. Take of hold of any thought that crosses your mind that isn’t of God by simply saying, “God take this from me. In Jesus name, Amen!” Fill your mind with things that are good which are things that come from God. Refrain from situations, relationships, books, movies, TV, clubs, pictures or anything that isn’t good for the mind. Just say NO to sin and YES to God!

Transform:
We must not be conformed but transformed by the Holy Spirit. We as believers must resist ungodly ways of thinking and behavior. The world is ruled by Satan and it is evil. The world is built on human wisdom and values. We as believers must be a light to this dark world. Our minds must continually be renewed and transformed by God so that we don’t conform to things of this world. You may be wondering, “How do I do this?” Spend time daily reading and mediating on God’s word. Your mind will be transformed to follow God’s will for your life. God’s will is perfect for our lives!

1.       Read the Bible (I suggest a study bible that helps you to better understand the scriptures)
2.       Meditate or Pray about the scripture you have read
3.       Join a local bible based church
4.       Connect with other believers to keep you encouraged

Health Inspiration 1 on 1

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 and 3 John 1:2

The Holy Spirit dwells within us, which was given by God.  We know that if the Holy Spirit dwells within us we belong to God. We must refrain from sin which includes sexual immorality, impure thoughts, lying, cheating, blasphemy, stealing, profanity, substance abuse, and gossip. The list goes on but I just listed a few.

We also must take care of the body with proper diet, hygiene and exercise so that we may be healthy physically. Our bodies must honor and please God because we were brought at a price. You may be wondering, “What price was that?” Jesus Christ died on the cross so that we may have eternal salvation, have a relationship with God and be free from sin! Jesus meets our physical and spiritual needs daily because he wants to have a good journey on earth.

God provides for us so that we may provide for our families and others. Although sometimes we may experience hardships in life, just know that this is when God does his best work within us. We are able to mature spiritually and trust in God in all things. When we experience hardships, once God brings us out we can minister to others that are going through the same storm. Trust God and you will experience his abundant blessings in your life. Seek God’s desires for your life by praying without ceasing daily and know that he is in control.
~Be a blessing to someone today!

Obedience Inspiration 1 on1

Read John 14:15 and Romans 6:16

https://www.biblegateway.com/

How much do we love God? His word says that if we love him we will keep his commandments. My grandmother use to always tell me that obedience is better than sacrifice. I didn’t understand it then, but now I do. If we are truly devoted to God and keep his commandments, we must refrain from sin. We must surrender all to God because he is our Father in heaven. He loves us and wants the best for our lives. We as believers have to learn to trust in his word. Just because God forgives us of our sins does not mean that we should continue to sin. There are consequences to sinning against God. We have now become slaves to sin which results in death. This can be physical and spiritual death. Why would we risk that chance of not being in God’s presence? It’s not worth it! Pray without ceasing, ask God to guide and direct your life every day. Faithfully follow Christ and allow him to be the head of your life.

Humility Inspiration 1 on 1

Read Galatians 6:14-15

Refrain from boasting so that you remain teachable and humble to instruction. Christ suffered on the cross so that we may have eternal salvation. Be willing to share the sufferings of Christ to the world. This is the only thing we should be boasting about is God’s love for his people. How do we do this?  By telling others about Christ, this is how non-believers will come to Christ for themselves. We are a new creation once we accept Christ. We have spiritual salvation and a renewed relationship in the body of Christ. All lives matter in the kingdom of God! Be Blessed!

Character and Integrity Inspiration 1 on 1

Read Psalm 78:72; James 1:22

The two verses today are simply saying to develop a character of integrity by being a faithful doer. You may be wondering… How do I become a faithful doer? We all go to church to hear the word from the pastor or we may even work in ministry but that’s not enough to carry us from day to day. See we receive the meat on Sunday but we need those vegetables and water for the rest of the week. I’m simply advising you to read the word of God for yourself and then apply it in your daily life. If you don’t put into practice what his word says all your activities and knowledge is meaningless. Start today and develop a true godly character and a lifestyle of companionship with Christ. This way you can fulfill God’s purpose in your life and to receive spiritual salvation.

Fatherless Feeling

Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you. Exodus 20:12
https://www.biblegateway.com

There was this girl that once dreamed of having a relationship with her father but that dream seemed so far out of reach. She saw her father a few times as a child but that was all. She grew up saying "I don't need a father." Years went by and she didn't think much about ever seeking to fix those broken pieces. Oh but wait she thought she was fine. I think deep down inside she longed for that relationship with her father. You could tell by the choices she made with men.  She needed the piece of the puzzle to be filled. A couple of years ago, she did some research and find her father. He was in prison in Texas. She felt hopeless again and put that thought away. In 2014, the Lord humbled her and she realized in order to be whole she had to fix some broken pieces. She looked up that information for the prison and wrote her father. I can't tell you what was all in the letter but I do know she quoted that scripture from Exodus 20:12 and said she forgave him. They have been writing ever since. She received her first birthday card from him last year. She also has been connected with a sibling, which was also another dream of hers. When you see her today she is complete and her heart is on fire for the Lord. She has experienced God's grace for herself. I hope this inspires someone that has given up on their parent. Know that everything works together for your good. Forgive and learn  to live in peace that only God can give. Start today and mend those broken relationships. Parents aren't perfect but they should be honored. They brought you into this world not knowing how the story would end.

Prayer Life Inspiration 1 on 1

Read Colossians  4:2

The verse today is simply saying to develop a prayer life by being determined and passionate about spending time with God. The distractions of this world can cause us to not want to pray but praying helps us grow spiritually in Christ. The best time to pray is in the morning before your day gets started. Pray throughout the day to keep peace in your heart. Spend time thanking  God for all he has done for you in your life.
